Description EXCENEL RTU:
Excenel RTU is an antibiotic with a broad spectrum of action, belonging to the group of cephalosporins. It is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including beta-lactamase producing strains. Like other cephalosporins, ceftiofur is bactericidal in vitro, interfering with bacterial wall synthesis.

Composition:
Each 100 mL contains 5.0 g of micronized ceftiofur hydrochloride.

Indications:
Cattle: treatment of pneumonia and transport fever associated with Pasteurella haemolytica, P. multocida and Haemophilus sommus, enteritis (Salmonella spp and Escherichia coli), hoof rot (Fusobacterium necrophorum and Bacteroides melaninogenicus) and genitourinary infections.

Dosage and method of administration:
Bovine: 1 mL / 50 kg body weight.
Administer 1 mg ceftiofur / kg body weight subcutaneously or intramuscularly and repeat treatment after the 24 hour interval for three consecutive days.

Shelf life and precautions:
It does not require milk discard or withdrawal of the product prior to slaughter when used at the recommended dosages.
